About Elizabeth Monroy

Hi there! I am Liz Monroy and I am a newcomer to NLC. I taught High School Science for 15 years prior to accepting my position here.  While teaching public education, I worked with Science fair students, Academic decathlon, High Q and UIL competition teams in addition to my teaching duties. I am originally from El Paso and have not been here in San Antonio too long but am loving it so far. I am a proud momma to 2 incredible adult young men. I enjoy helping students love Chemistry like I do. When I am not teaching, I do crafts, read, watch concerts and travel. I am a lover of all things Harry Potter and Disney, especially Stitch and Mickey Mouse. I look forward to mentoring students to reach the potential we all have!
