About MItchell Yenawine

Mitchell Yenawine was a first-generation college student who received a Bachelors in astronomy from San Diego State University in 2015. After spending a couple of years working in a group home for developmentally disabled adults he then went back to SDSU where he got a Masters in Astronomy. He then went on to Iowa State University where he got another Masters this time in Astrophysics. Prior to coming to NLC his research focused primarily on binary/triple star systems, exoplanets, stellar pulsations, and numerical optimization techniques. Here at NLC Mitchell teaches the Stars and Galaxies course as well as the Solar System course and is an advisor of the E-Sports and STEM Club. In his free time, Mitchell likes to read (mostly audiobooks now), paint (on occasion), play video games (far too often), and answering unusual questions about space (nowhere near enough!).
