Justice- Impacted Candidates:
- Federal Bonding - The Federal Bonding Program is a free insurance service that protects employers who hire justice-involved workers, covering up to $5,000. It provides peace of mind at no cost, with a simple phone process and no paperwork, and more information is available through American Job Centers or by calling 1-877-US2-JOBS.
- Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) - This provides employers tax incentives for hiring people with a criminal record or other employment barriers. Students may qualify if it's been less than a year since your felony conviction or prison release, or if they are low-income or have been unemployed for six months. Students can visit the American Job Center to check eligibility and request a pre-certification letter to share with employers.
