Wildcat Orientation

For First Time in College (FTIC) Students Only

Wildcat Orientation is required only for First Time in College (FTIC) students—those who are enrolling in college for the first time after high school.
👉 Students who have taken college coursework after high school (including transfer, returning, or former students) do not need to complete orientation. These students should contact the Admissions Office for next steps.

 

Step 1: Complete All Application and Enrollment Steps

Students must complete all enrollment requirements before being added to orientation.

Enrollment steps include:

  • Complying with the Texas Bacterial Meningitis Law
  • Completing the Test Prep Module
  • Taking the TSI Placement Exam or submitting qualifying exemption scores

Step 3: After Orientation

First Time in College students must complete a mandatory Wildcat Orientation.

After completion of orientation you will:

  • Select an Advising appointment
  • Meet with an advisor
  • Register for classes

Note: Wildcat Orientation is for First Time in College Students only. Transfer and Returning or Former Students do not require orientation, please contact admissions for next steps. 

 

Step 4: Pay for classes

Students must either pay for their classes or ensure that applicable financial aid or veterans benefits are in place by the payment deadline or they will be dropped from courses and will have to re-register.
