Faculty Senate
These dedicated faculty leaders will represent faculty across all five colleges and play a vital role in strengthening shared governance across the district. Faculty at each college have elected six senators from the college faculty and the Chancellor has appointed one faculty member from each college to the new faculty senate.
On August 12, 2025, the Board of Trustees approved the creation of a single, districtwide Faculty Senate to align with new state legislation. This new structure ensures that, even as we adapt to the legislative changes required by SB37, the faculty voice remains central in advising on matters that shape teaching and learning across our colleges.
