Sample Videos

Here are some examples of successful student-generated social media videos. The students provided unedited video clips and, on occasion, a voiceover file, which our marketing team assembled and posted on social media. These examples are finished products—not what you are expected to produce. The authenticity of your story matters!

Tips for Recording Quality Video Clip Submission

  • Promote AlamoONLINE at the Alamo Colleges in your scripts.
  • Natural light is best: Try filming near windows or outdoors.
  • The setting should be free of background noise, distractions, and product placement, such as brands and logos.
  • Clothing should not have logos or other branding.
  • Keep It Steady: Use a tripod or stabilizer to prevent shaky footage.
    • If you don't have one, keep your camera or phone as steady as possible.
  • When recording a voice-over, you can use the voice memo app or record yourself reading your script or narrating your actions. We can extract the audio that way.

Next Steps

The Alamo Colleges Online marketing team will review all entries upon receipt of video clips and respond within 10 business days of the submission's completion.
