Remote teaching in a remote learning environment

On March 3, 2020, the Alamo Colleges District implemented a Continuity of Instruction Plan to help ease the transition from on-site classes to a remote learning environment. We encourage you to visit Key Terms to ensure alignment on terminology. The plan provided full-time and adjunct faculty with specific steps to take during the recent emergency closures of facilities. To review these steps, visit Step 1: Prepare, Step 2: Communicate, and Step 3: Teach Remote.

By March 23, the plan had produced tangible results, as the Alamo Colleges faculty completed remote-ready training and began teaching remotely. In response to conversations with and data collected from faculty, the Alamo Colleges District established a number of resources, training sessions, and discussions to support faculty throughout the Colleges. The work completed from March 24 until the end of the Spring 2020 semester is summarized in an infographic that illustrates the dedication to support faculty.
