Military Support Services
MSS has full-time offices at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Lackland, and Randolph. We provide information, enrollment services, and advocacy primarily for active-duty families.

We provide courses on JBSA installations, on campus, and online. Active military has priority for all JBSA installation courses. SPC saves seats in online and campus courses for our Military & veteran-connected families. |

MyCAA | Military Spouse Scholarship |

|
The Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Program offers up to $4000 for qualified military spouses towards a degree or certificate. Spouses are encouraged to check MyCAA to qualify for funding for their program at St. Philip's College! |

Military Residency Verification

Payments & Payment Deferments for TA & MyCAA Students |

|
|
Sometimes payment deadlines come before funding is approved or before request windows open. We provide payment deferments for students with delayed federal funding such as TA, VA, or MyCAA. Don't get dropped! Contact us if you have any questions. Students with an outstanding balance from a previous semester secured by deferment will not be eligible for subsequent deferments until the previous balance is paid. |

The Good Samaritan Veterans Outreach & Transition Center provides no-cost services to all Active Duty, Retired, Veterans, and their families. College for All Texans provides information about attending college in Texas. The Texas Veterans Commission provides information on education, claims, employment, and more. |

DoD Tuition Assistance Funded Students
Students must consult their Education Service Center before engaging in any voluntary education endeavor. It's the student's responsibility to know the Tuition Assistance (TA) process and policy for their branch of service and to ensure tuition balances are paid by the payment deadline.
Air Force Information
Tuition assistance must be requested no earlier than 45 days before the semester start date and no later than 7 days before the semester start date. Active-Duty Air Force members should apply for TA through their Air Force Portal account at the Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) site. Questions should be directed to your Air Force Education Office.
Army Information
Tuition assistance must be requested no earlier than 60 days before the semester start date and approved no later than 7 days before the semester start date. Active-Duty Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserves should apply for TA through their ArmyIgnitED account. Questions should be directed to your Army Education Office.
Navy Information:
Tuition assistance must be requested no earlier than 120 days before the semester start date and no later than 7 days before the semester start date. Active-Duty Navy personnel and qualified Naval Reservists should apply for TA through their Navy College Program site. Questions should be directed to your Navy Education Office.
St. Philip’s College will promptly readmit a service member with the same academic status and academic program they had when last attending the school or accepted for admission to the school. This requirement applies to any student who cannot attend school due to military service. Please reference the "Frequently Asked Questions: Institutional Readmission Requirements for Service Members " and guidance available on the U.S. Department of Education's website.
