San Antonio has a deep history dating back to its establishment in 1718. Yet our modern-day city has developed a unique character like no other in Texas. Most of the population for this top ten city consider themselves of Hispanic origin and this allows for a level of diversity, inclusion and tolerance unique to most cities in the United States. Our City’s Mayor put it best:
“In an increasingly connected world, the international relationships that we forge contribute to the economic partnerships and cultural exchanges that place San Antonio on a global stage and ensure that we remain competitive. As we continue to grow and attract the attention of communities across the globe, it’s important that we establish San Antonio as a welcoming and inclusive place that is ready to do business with the world.”
- Mayor Ron Nirenberg
