Our international student community represents 38 countries around the world. Alamo Colleges values the importance of our students and faculty developing global competence to enrich our community and in turn, employers seek culturally skilled individuals who have the global knowledge in their areas of expertise.

International students can apply to four of our five colleges -  Northwest Vista College ,  Palo Alto College ,  St. Philip’s College,  or  San Antonio College . International students studying at one of the Alamo Colleges will receive a form I-20.

Over 350+ Scholarships for new international students!
 
There is one General Scholarship Application you can submit by May 15 to be considered for all Alamo Colleges Foundation Scholarships. Visit alamo.academicworks.com to apply.

International Student Application Checklist

1. Apply for Admission

  • Select the Alamo College you wish to attend
  • Apply for admission by completing the online application at www.goapplytexas.org


2. Submit an International Student Application

  • Visit our How to Apply page to complete the checklist to be admitted as an international student
  • Once accepted as an international student the College will issue a form I-20 for the F-1 Visa


3. Provide information as requested by your college such as:

  • Evaluated Foreign Credentials All foreign credentials must be evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), visit www.naces.org
  • English Proficiency TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for enrollment
    • TOEFL Score: 500, iBT TOEFL Score: 6, IELTS Score: 5.0
    • * TOEFL or IELTS scores are not required for English as a Second Language students planning on attending San Antonio College
  • Financial Guarantee
    • All verification letters should be on bank stationery and show available funds for one academic year and additional funds for a spouse or children accompanying the student.

5. Application deadline is May 1, 2024.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition and fees are subject to change by the Texas State Legislature and the Alamo Colleges Board of Trustees.

International Cost of Attendance Per Academic Year (fall 2024 and spring 2025):
Tuition & Fees for 24 credit hours: $7,848 = $130,039.16 MXN
Housing & Food: $11,512
Course Materials, Supplies, & Equipment: $500
Transportation: $2,732
Personal & Misc.: $2,428

International students are assessed at the current Non-Resident tuition and general fee rates, plus the Student Activity Fee.
