Construction Trades Program

Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Includes managers in specialized construction fields, such as carpentry or plumbing.

May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.

This hands-on program combines essential safety training, foundational construction skills, and academic support to prepare learners for success on the job site and beyond. Earn OSHA-30 and the NCCER Core Curriculum Certificates while gaining the skills and confidence to start or advance your career in this high-demand field.

Program Requirements

Possess proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking skills)

You are at least eighteen (18) years of age

Equipment: personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear plugs, long sleeve shirt and pants, gloves, boots

 

HB 1508 Licensing Requirement

This program may lead to an occupational license for which a prior criminal history may make a student ineligible.
