From Determination to Doctoral Dreams: Bianca’s Journey at SAC
April 8, 2026

Balancing school, work, and personal commitments can be demanding, but for Bianca Robles, each responsibility serves as a stepping stone toward her future, fueling her determination to succeed and make her family proud.
As she prepared to graduate from Reagan High School, Bianca learned from a friend that she was eligible to have 100% of her tuition and fees covered at the Alamo Colleges District (ACD) through AlamoPROMISE. That opportunity played a pivotal role in shaping her college journey.
“I decided to attend the Alamo Colleges because it allowed me to focus more on my academics and personal life without having too much financial stress,” said Bianca.
With a natural passion for connecting with others, Bianca chose to pursue a degree in Psychology at San Antonio College (SAC) in the Fall of 2024. Since then, she has excelled academically, maintaining an impressive 4.0 GPA and demonstrating a strong commitment to her goals.
Outside the classroom, Bianca’s schedule reflects both her work ethic and her dedication to serving others. She works part-time at Holy Trinity Catholic Church as a Virtus training administrator and administrative assistant. Bianca also volunteers at the parish on Tuesdays and Thursdays, mentoring middle school students.
With the support of AlamoPROMISE, Bianca has been able to focus on her academic and personal growth without financial burden.
“AlamoPROMISE has helped me overcome many financial difficulties, and the freedom it has given me has allowed me to move forward into the next steps of my life,” she shared.
Despite her busy routine, Bianca prioritizes spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends, and is currently planning her upcoming wedding.
In recognition of her hard work and achievements, Bianca was honored as the March 2026 AlamoPROMISE Student of the Month during the Alamo Colleges District (ACD) Board of Trustees Meeting.
“San Antonio College has provided me with the structure, encouragement, and opportunities that I have needed to succeed,” Bianca said. “I am so grateful to be part of an institution that invests in its students and their futures.”
Looking ahead, Bianca plans to graduate from SAC and transfer to the University of Texas at San Antonio to continue her studies in psychology. She hopes to earn a Doctor of Psychology and become a Clinical Psychologist, providing personalized care to individuals navigating emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges.
