About the Advocacy Centers

Access to college doesn’t just mean academic help; we are committed to helping students overcome hurdles that prevent them from reaching their goals. As part of a district-wide commitment to student success and meeting the needs of students experiencing poverty, on-campus advocacy centers have been implemented across all five Alamo Colleges. Through partnerships with multiple local organizations, our advocacy centers are able to provide resources such as healthcare, food security, childcare, counseling, and more.

• Housing & Utility Assistance
• Food Security through partnership with the SA Foodbank, HEB, and Whataburger. 
• Health Care via UT Health San Antonio’s Wellness 360 Program.
• Mental Health Counseling with licensed counselors and social workers.
• Childcare Referrals for families balancing school and home life.
• Adult and Children's Clothes are available, both professional and casual.
