Alamo Colleges District Earns Great Place To Work Certification For Third Consecutive Year

The Alamo Colleges District has earned Great Place To Work® Certification for the third consecutive year, a recognition based entirely on employees’ feedback about their workplace experience.

The Alamo Colleges District exceeds the national benchmark for workplace satisfaction, with 74% of employees saying it is a great place to work, compared to 57% at a typical U.S. company.

“Our faculty and staff make a difference in the lives of our learners every day, and we want them to feel that same support in their own work,” said Dr. Mike Flores, Alamo Colleges District Chancellor. “Earning this recognition for a third consecutive year is meaningful because it comes from our employees. Their voices help us build a stronger Alamo Colleges District as we work together toward our moonshot of ending poverty through education and training.”

The certification aligns with the Talent priority of AlamoFORWARD, the District’s strategic plan, which recognizes that investing in employees is essential to student success and performance excellence.

Across the Alamo Colleges, employees have access to resources that support their well-being, strengthen their skills and help them balance work and life. 

Through AlamoWELL, employees have access to resources supporting physical, mental, emotional, financial and community well-being.

The District also participates in Caring Campus, an initiative developed with the Institute for Evidence-Based Change that focuses on strengthening connections among employees and creating a workplace where people feel welcomed and supported.

Together, these benefits and programs are part of the District’s continued work to support the employees who serve more than 100,000 learners across the Alamo Colleges.
