Interim Vice Chancellor for Financial and Auxiliary Services
Lisa L. Mazure, MSA, CPA, CGFM

Lisa L. Mazure, MSA, CPA, CGFM, serves as the Interim Vice Chancellor for Finance and Auxiliary Services for the Alamo Colleges District. In this role, she provides executive leadership and strategic oversight of comprehensive finance and auxiliary operations across a multi-college district serving more than 100,000 students. She is responsible for financial planning and reporting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, contract administration, grants, debt management, cash management, capital expenditures, and student business office operations, as well as auxiliary services functions.
Prior to assuming this interim appointment, Mazure served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and Fiscal Services beginning in March 2022, where she led financial operations for a district with a combined operating budget exceeding $1 billion. Her leadership has been instrumental in maintaining the district’s AAA bond rating and overseeing a historic $987 million bond program. She has contributed to the Alamo Colleges District’s unprecedented achievement as the only higher education institution in the nation to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award twice — in 2018 and 2024 — leading the finance committee in support of that recognition. She has also spearheaded major technology integrations, including the implementation of ALAMOMart, Concur, and Dynamic Forms, to streamline financial operations and enhance service delivery.
Before joining the Alamo Colleges District, Mazure served as Controller at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan, for seven years, where she directed student finance, accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and grants functions and led the college through two capital project bond issuances. Her career in public service spans more than 25 years with the State of Michigan’s Office of the Auditor General, where she rose to the level of Auditor General Manager, overseeing audit operations, developing audit plans, and managing teams conducting performance and financial audits of state agencies and programs. She also served as adjunct faculty at Lansing Community College for 16 years, teaching courses including Governmental Accounting, Auditing, and Principles of Accounting.
Mazure holds a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting, both from Central Michigan University. She is currently a doctoral student in Ferris State University’s Doctorate in Community College Leadership program, with an expected graduation in 2028. She holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) designations.
Mazure is an active leader in higher education finance associations. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) as Treasurer, and is an active member of the Texas Association of Community College Business Officers (TACCBO), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Association of Government Accountants (AGA). She has participated in three IPEDS Technical Review Panels and is a member of the IPEDS Finance Working Group, contributing to the national standards for higher education financial data reporting.
