Understanding Wintermester Financial Aid

Wintermester is a condensed course module offered in December that does not have financial aid awarded before classes start like the fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Wintermester enrollment by itself is not eligible for financial aid. However, you may receive financial aid for Wintermester if you are also enrolled in Spring courses as Wintermester hours count toward your total enrollment for Spring financial aid eligibility.
- The first Spring financial aid pay out date is January 10, 2026. Due to this timing, students must pay for Wintermester courses out of pocket to prevent being dropped for nonpayment.
- Students who are not enrolled in Spring 2026 courses are not eligible to receive financial aid for Wintermester.
Students can view their Wintermester tuition and fees balance & pay for their courses on ACES.
- Refer to the Virtual Business office for further guidance if needed.
- Students must complete their payment on ACES by December 11th to avoid their courses being dropped.
