Parking and Transportation
Student parking at any of the Alamo Colleges District campuses, off-site locations, or district offices is included as part of the Campus Access Fee which covers a broad range of student services.
All Alamo Colleges District students pay a $25 Campus Access Fee. No sticker or decal is distributed.
The Campus Access Fee is included in students’ tuition and fees each semester and does not to exceed $50 per academic year.
VIA Bus U-Pass
Alamo Colleges District has partnered with VIA to offer the new U-Pass to all students, faculty and staff.
The U-Pass is perfect for the student on the move and on a budget. With convenient bus service to campus, the U-Pass is also a great choice for employees.
The U-Pass gives you access to unlimited bus rides on VIA throughout the semester, and with free high-speed Wi-Fi on all buses and transit centers, you can spend more time reading, studying, checking e-mails and staying connected.
VIA goMobile Mobile Pass
Current Alamo Colleges District students and employees are eligible for a VIA goMobile mobile pass using your student or employee email address.

To access your fare, you need to download the VIA goMobile mobile ticketing app through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Once you’ve downloaded the app and have created your new rider account, simply go to the My Tickets page on your rider app and refresh the page to receive your mobile pass.
Note: When creating your account, be sure to use your ACD student or employee email address.
After you have created your account, it may take up to 2 hours for your ticket to be delivered.
It is preferred that students and employees use the VIA goMobile app to download and access the U-Pass.

If you do not have a smartphone to download the app:
Just show your student or employee ID to the bus operator when boarding.
Your Alamo Colleges District ID can also be used as your U-Pass to ride on all VIA mainline bus routes.
How to get a Student ID
If you do not have an ACD ID, please follow the directions below for your home college:
NVC students may request a virtual ID.
Virtual appointments to take a photo through zoom are available on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and Thursdays 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for Student IDs.
To request a virtual appointment please contact Student Life at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 210-486-3125 to schedule your appointment.
An official ID card will be mailed to the student.
On Mondays and Thursdays by appointment only, onsite student enrollment support (to include ID cards) is available from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at MLK & SWC campuses.

There are three options to make an appointment. You may:

**AlamoPROMISE scholars who are visiting campus for enrollment will receive their official ID after their session with the coach.
All current academic students, faculty, and staff are eligible to use the VIA U-PASS.
Paying the board-approved Campus Access Fee with your tuition allows you to receive this benefit at no extra cost.
You will provide your Alamo Colleges District ID to the bus driver at any VIA mainline bus route. VIA U-PASS will not require a sticker. You can plan your trip at viainfo.net.
You can also use the Via goMobile Ticketing App available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Student ID’s are issued to students on a payment plan or if your tuition is paid in full. Provide your Banner ID number and a Driver’s License or Photo ID.
Original student ID cards are free. Replacement cards (lost or stolen) are $10.00.
Due to COVID-19, you will need to contact your college if you need a Student ID card.
You have unlimited bus rides on VIA throughout the Spring and Summer semesters.
Special events are excluded.
These students do not pay the Campus Access Fee and are not currently eligible.
Yes, visit the Business Office with a student ID card. The cost for the VIA bus pass will be $38.00.
