The Office of Workplace Learning welcomes the opportunity to work with area employers to meet their needs to hire qualified entry-level employees. Benefiting both the employer and the college student, this connection offers employers the opportunity to promote their positions to students who are eager for these opportunities. The National Association of Colleges and Employers outlines several key benefits of hiring college students for entry-level roles, including:

For Employers
- Sign the MOU/submit your Job Posting(s)
- Receive and review student letters/resumes
- Interview candidates and make job offers
- Fund 100% of the student wages
For Alamo Colleges
- Create job announcements
- Recruit from the specific majors requested
- Review student cover letters/resumes
- Forward applications to the employer
Alamo Colleges has over 350 fields of study (majors) across its six academic institutes. Employers may review the list to identify which majors are likely to meet their needs.

Students can be hired for full- or part-time employment or internships (with a predetermined end date) or as contract employees.
The employer must agree to accommodate the student’s academic schedule including exams and class times.
