Send Us Your Selfie-Style Video Submission

Thank you for submitting your application. Please check your email to confirm that the email you submitted is correct. The next step is to submit your selfie-style video elaborating on the touchpoints below. Upon completion, upload your video submission to alamo.edu/online/video-entry by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026.

You must address the following five touchpoints and remember that failure to answer may impact your eligibility.

In your video, please tell us:

1. Who you are and what inspired you to pursue your education through AlamoONLINE.
2. A challenge you've overcome while balancing school, work, family, or other responsibilities.
3. Why online learning has been the right fit for your life and goals.
4. An accomplishment you're proud of since becoming an online student.
5. What message would you share with future online students?

Although we are not looking for overly produced videos, this is your moment to let your personality shine! Simply point, shoot, record, address the five touchpoints above, and share.

Instructions for Submitting a Selfie–Style Video

1. Create your video and go to alamo.edu/online/video-entry.
2. Click the ‘Add files’ button.
3. Search for your video from your device’s files to upload your entry. [Note for smartphone users: You can select your video from the photo/video library or take a video and click Add when done.]
4. Wait a moment while your video prepares.
5. Type your first and last name and email address in the relevant fields before the next step.
6. Click the Upload button when you see your attached video.
7. Watch the progress bar as your video uploads to Dropbox.
8. Close the browser or app once you see the “Finished Uploading” webpage.

Check the email account you entered in Step 6 for your confirmation from Dropbox. The subject line will say, “Your files were uploaded to '2027 Online Student Ambassador Scholarship Videos'.”

Pro Tips on a successful selfie-style interview

1. Use the wording AlamoONLINE at the Alamo Colleges in your script.
2. Use natural light: Try filming near windows or outdoors.
3. Keep the setting free of background noise and distractions.
4. Answer all five touchpoints in your video.
5. Smile, be personable, and let your personality shine.

Deadline to Apply and Submit Video

Applications and video submissions will be accepted starting Monday, Aug. 31, and will end 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026.

Review Process and Next Steps

The Alamo Colleges Online marketing team will review all video entries after the application closes. Then, selected students will be notified via email to set up an in-person, get-to-know-you interview.
