Alamo Colleges District Celebrates Fall 2025 Graduates and Expands Commencement Traditions
January 23, 2026
The Alamo Colleges District celebrated an unforgettable season of student achievement this December as fall commencement ceremonies continued to grow across the Alamo Colleges — creating more opportunities to recognize graduates at the moment they complete their academic journeys.
For the first time, San Antonio College and Northwest Vista College hosted fall commencement ceremonies in December, joining St. Philip’s College, which, until recently, was the only district college to hold two commencements each year. The expansion reflects both the district’s increasing enrollment and the growing number of students completing degrees and credentials throughout the year.
Together, the Alamo Colleges District’s five colleges — San Antonio College, Northwest Vista College, Northeast Lakeview College, St. Philip’s College, and Palo Alto College — serve nearly 90,000 students across the San Antonio region.
St. Philip’s College held its 153rd Commencement Ceremony on Dec. 10, marking a historic moment as the college awarded its first-ever bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity — a major milestone in expanding educational pathways and workforce-aligned opportunities for students.
