Priority Deadlines

Submitting a FAFSA by the general priority deadline provides students adequate time to complete any additional financial aid requirements listed within ACES and to review their financial aid offers before classes begin.

Fall 2026  May 1, 2026
Spring 2027 November 1, 2026

 

If submitting a FAFSA close to the start of classes, students are encouraged to make payment arrangements to ensure their classes are not dropped on the payment due date. Students should complete any financial aid requirements listed in ACES as soon as possible to be offered financial aid.

Please note that meeting the priority deadline does not guarantee that financial aid will be offered if the student does not qualify based on federal or state guidelines.

2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Time Frame to Submit: December 1, 2024 - June 30, 2026

⇒ General Priority Deadline: May 1, 2025

 

2025-2026 Alamo Colleges Foundation Scholarship

Timeframe to Submit: January 15, 2025 - May 15, 2025

 

Direct Loan Requests

Time Frame to Submit: (Fall Loan): May 19, 2025 - December 13, 2025

                                            (Fall & Spring Loan): May 19, 2025 - May 16, 2026

IMPORTANT: Students submitting a loan request after Dec. 16, 2025 should be aware that refunds will be not be issued by the Business Office until Jan. 2026.

 

Disbursements

First Day of Disbursements for Fall: August 15, 2025

Note: Applies to students who have met enrollment requirements and completed all financial aid requirements listed in ACES.

 

Program of Study (POS) Evaluation

Automated Daily Evaluation: July 18, 2025 - October 27, 2025.

Academic Advisor's Manual Evaluation Deadline: December 13, 2025.

 

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal

Time Frame to Submit: May 1, 2025 - November 1, 2025

 

Special & Unusual Circumstances Requests

Time Frame to Submit: Requests must be submitted and processed before the last day of the term that you are enrolled in for the 2025-2026 academic year. 

 

Verification

Time Frame to Submit: The final date to submit verification documents is the last day of the term that you are enrolled in for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Summer 2025

Course in Program of Study (CPOS) Evaluation

Automated Daily Evaluation: April 2, 2025 - July 17, 2025.

Academic Advisor's Manual Evaluation Deadline: August 15, 2025.

 

Direct Loan Requests

Time Frame to Submit: (Summer Loan): January 21, 2025 - August 15, 2025

 

Disbursements

Summer Dates

Financial Aid funds apply to account balance
Applies to students who have:

Timeframe to Submit FAFSA: December 31, 2023 - June 30, 2025

Note: TASFA recipients are not awarded in summer based on state funding availability.

Time Frame to Submit: No Summer Appeal Process.

Note: The Fall 2025 Appeal will open in May 2025.
