What is the Certified Nursing Assistant program?
Begin a career in healthcare with the Texas Nursing Assistant Certification Program. We offer a fast and affordable path to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). This hands-on training program prepares you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to provide basic care to patients in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home settings. Students will receive in-depth instruction in patient care, safety, infection control, and communication—all aligned with state standards to prepare you for the Texas Nurse Aide Registry exam.
Please note: CPR certification is required to participate in the clinical/lab portion of the program. CPR is not included in the tuition. Students must present a valid CPR card prior to their lab/clinical rotation. Alamo Colleges offers an optional CPR course ($125) you may register for to meet this requirement.
