Cara Sullivan

Cara Sullivan Headshot

My name is Cara Sullivan, and I am the Northeast Lakeview College Student Government Association president and the NLC primary delegate to the Student District Council. I am an early admissions and homeschool dual credit student, and I founded EMerge Student Alliance to act as a supportive platform for high school programs students. This is my second semester at the Alamo Colleges– I was astounded when I first arrived on campus at the welcoming and illuminating environment. I have already learned so much from my professors, staff advisors, and fellow students, and I want to use what I have learned to give back to the school that gives so much to me.

Being on the SDC and SGA allows me to practice leadership skills and organize efforts toward amplifying student voices. I also encourage my fellow students to engage in experiential learning opportunities provided by the Alamo Colleges District. I am involved in the Women Leaders of NLC, the Student Service Fee Advisory Committee, Alpha Omega, the National Society for Leadership and Success, the Campus Activities Board, and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I have served on student panels, spoken about the ACD resources to prospective students at information sessions, and presented an analysis of the Noel Levitz and SDC Spring 2022 Student Survey data.

I have a 4.0 GPA and am enrolled in the NLC Honors Academy. I enjoy serving local elementary through high school students at my Mathnasium job.

The Alamo Colleges District truly empowers our diverse communities for success. All students have a home here, and that is why I love spreading school spirit!
