His job included directing weekly safety presentations, creating safety certification courses, and teaching these courses to maintain regional standards.

At San Antonio College, Brandon Aviado is in his second semester pursuing a pre-nursing degree to build upon his background in medicine. His extracurricular activities include the SAC Phi Theta Kappa chapter, student government association (SGA), and SAC Men Empowerment Network. As an officer in the SAC Beta Nu Phi Theta Kappa chapter, he helped organize chapter events, mentored leadership development for fellow officers and conducted fundraising presentations with the college administration. As student commissioner of the SGA, he facilitates student needs into organized efforts between the student government and upper administration.

Currently, he is part of an initiative between the San Antonio Independent School Districts and San Antonio College to improve student success through deliberate college prep and encouraged dual-credit programs. His involvement in the SAC Men Empowerment Network involves restructuring the operational procedures of their student leaders to improve overall efficiency, mentoring men of color through their education both in San Antonio College and incoming high school students and speaking at events encouraging success for men of color.

Finally, he works at the school as both a writing tutor and an academic peer coach, connecting students with any necessary resources on campus to encourage their academic success.
