The Alamo Colleges District is funded from three major sources:

The State of Texas has kept the overall dollar amount of appropriations relatively flat since 2002; however, student enrollment has increased 41% over the same time period, reducing the percentage Alamo Colleges District receives from the state. The end effect is that we have many more students, but we are receiving less money from the state. We know it is important to keep tuition and fees affordable and at reasonable levels while keeping our focus on quality.
Beginning spring 2019, per semester credit hours (SCH) will be $13 per hour more. This applies to in-district, out-of-district and non-resident students.
Since 2011, tuition has risen by 8% at ACD, while tuition at most Texas colleges has risen over 35%. |
ACD still offers the most economical college costs in the area. Your next comparable option is over 2.5 times more – and the most expensive is 15 times higher!
