Appointments
Drop-in advising is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. When visiting the department without an appointment, you can expect extended wait times. We would like for you to have the best possible advising experience so, for your convenience, consider virtual drop-ins.

*On-campus drop-ins are located in the Moody Learning Center (MLC) on the ground floor.
Drop-in Services:
- Receive brief (≤ 15 mins) advising guidance
- Get assistance with general questions
- Review Registration PIN tasks
- Identify resources to support your success in school
- Complete Change of Major and Change of Primary Institution requests
Appointments are available for students who have an assigned advisor. New SAC students are assigned an advisor by census day of their first semester on campus and can begin scheduling appointments after attending a general advising session. Visit "My Page" on ACES to view "My Advisor".
Note: Transient (visiting) students are able to meet with advisors through in-person and virtual (Zoom) drop-ins only.
- May 12 - July 25:
- Advising appointments available through Navigate in ACES. Contact the Advising Office if your assigned advisor's schedule does not appear in Navigate.
- All students will be referred to drop-in advising.

To schedule a Zoom appointment with your assigned Certified Advisor:
- Log in to your ACES account & click on the “Start Here” tab
- Select the “Alamo NAVIGATE” icon
- Click “Login”
- Select the “Appointments” tab
- Select “Schedule an Appointment”
- Select the reason for your appointment and click Next
- Select the location and click Next
- Select the day and time that works for you and click Next
- Enter “Zoom Appointment” in the Notes box
- Review the selection and confirm your appointment
